Shouryu is a new brand created by one of ten remaining craftsmen in entire Japan capable of making Buddhist Orin bells. The modern Suzugami plates and bowls are made of tin, which are hammered to be malleable so that constantly be reshaped. Suzugami series are sought out by notable Nobu, Narisawa restautants among others.
The Tsuiki Suzugami series uses the hammering (tsuiki) technique to make tin into the shape of a vessel. 18x18 is the perfect size for serving desserts and fruits for indivisuals.
If you roll both ends into a cocoon shape, you can store it compactly. In addition, because it is made by hammering, it returns to its original shape even when it is unfolded.
